Visiting Times

There is no strict visiting hours at MHPH however, in the interests of rest, treatment and patient care, MHPH recommends the following visiting hours:

For the Banksia Inpatient Ward, our visiting hours are between 10 am and 8 pm. It is also a good idea to check with your loved one or their care team before visiting.

Car Parking

General access and disabled car parks are located in the main Hospital car park. Please note there is a 2-hour limit and queries regarding infringement notices should be made with Mildura Rural City Council.

Disabled Parking

Located close to the Hospital’s main entrance.

Pick-up and Drop-Off Zone

This zone is located at the hospital’s main entrance to support with patient arrivals and discharges.

Visitor Guidelines

Please do not visit MHPH if you are unwell or have an infectious illness, including cold and flu symptoms or vomiting and diarrhoea, as these can spread through the hospital very quickly and puts all patients, visitors and staff at risk.

To promote a healing environment and respect the rights of all patients, their visitors and our staff we ask that you please:

• Be courteous, respectful and considerate to all patients, other visitors, volunteers and staff
• Respect the property of MHPH and other people, including other patients and visitors
• Respect all patient’s right to privacy, particularly when visiting patients who are in a shared room
• Keep noise levels to a minimum, including restricting the use of mobile phones on the ward
• Supervise any children under 12 years of age who accompany you to the hospital
• Refrain from using patient bathrooms, particularly in shared rooms
• Use the hand sanitiser before entering and after leaving a patient’s room
• Comply with clinical restrictions that may be in place to protect the patient and/or visitors, volunteers or staff and accommodate our staff’s duty to perform clinical care activities

If you have any questions or concerns about visiting arrangements, please speak to the nurse caring for your loved one or with the nurse in charge of the ward.
