The Mildura Health Private Hospital’s (MHPH) Oncology Unit is a six chair unit treating patients Monday - Thursday (excluding public holidays). Oncology nurses work with treating Oncologists and Physicians to deliver specialised care and treatment.

The MHPH Oncology Unit offers scalp cooling with the PAXMAN machine for appropriate treatment regimes.

Contact regarding your admission and pre-treatment requirements is made with you directly by Oncology Unit staff. Our oncology nurses have specialised training, many years of clinical experience and work with the treating Oncologists and Physicians. New patients beginning their treatment attend an education session and are provided personalised education about their treatment and side affects. A support person is also encouraged to attend the education meeting.
For your visit please wear loose comfortable clothing which allows easy access to your arms. Free Wi-Fi is available for patients and visitors throughout the Oncology Unit; please ask the nursing staff for a password. The hospital provides magazines and newspapers; you may like to bring your own reading material or a favourite CD to listen to. You will be offered light refreshment during your stay.
